The Kinnari Music Festival is all about being inspired. With this in mind, we are delighted to showcase amazing talents in their respective fields for our Spotlight of the Day. Festival artists will hear firsthand their riveting stories and words of wisdom, have candid discussions, and witness their amazing talent during the lunch time performances.

VieTrio

Topic: Connecting Classical Music to Everyone

For the last fourteen years, internationally renowned crossover band  VieTrio have been mesmerising audiences all over the world through their unique interpretation of crossover music. The first of its kind, Thailand’s VieTrio is a premier classical/pop crossover R&B and consisting of siblings Dr. Akkrawat (Paye) Srinarong (violin, composer, arranger, producer), Khun Kanyapas (Parn) Srinarong (cello, singer), and Khun Ariya (Pui) Srinarong (violin). Working alongside the famed Director, Mr. Tokonkiat Viravan, VieTrio created four chart-topping albums which are available on iTunes, Joox, and Spotify.  Between them the siblings have performed over a thousand concerts in six continents, including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center Washington, D.C., all across Asia and the Middle East, Brazil, and recently became the first band from Thailand to perform on the African continent in Egypt and Sudan. 

Passionate about music and education, their mission is to bridge the gap between classical music and other popular genres.

Pantawit Kiangsiri

Composer

Pantawit Kiangsiri is an award winning composer who has written for films, television, video games and the concert hall. Currently, Pantawit is scoring one of Japan’s flagship anime series My Daemon which is set for 2023 released worldwide on Netflix.

His other credits include long running turn based video game Arknights, Warner Brother’s short film Luna, China Film Group’s sci-fi feature The Secret of Immortal Code and Thailand’s historical epic King Naresuan 5 among others. In the television world he has contributed music for Netflix’s Emmy award winning Chef’s Table and Syfy channel’s The Expanse.

In the pop music world, Pantawit has provided critical acclaim arrangements for Sony’s music videos Gibberish and Lights Down Low with Billboard artist Max Schneider and Gnash. Pantawit graduated from the Scoring for Motion and Television Program at USC, having studied with Bruce Broughton and Christopher Young.

Natasha (Oong) Patamapongs

Record Label Executive, Artist, Producer, Educator

Topic: Breaking Into the Business/Music Management

Natasha is best known as the founder, producer and singer of the Jazz/Brazilian music group Mellow Motif. Listed on CNN Travel Asia as one of the Bangkok Hot List: Top 20 People to Watch, Natasha has released three albums and one EP with Warner Music Thailand, and has performed extensively at jazz clubs and over 30 major music festivals in Thailand, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia and Japan. She has performed at Indonesia’s Jakarta's International Java Jazz Festival (2013) — one of the world's largest jazz festivals with 115,000+ attendees. In 2015, Natasha reached the final round of the vocal reality show “The Winner Is” (Thailand), and finished the season as the 2nd runner-up.  

She graduated with a BHA in International Relations and a minor in Jazz Performance from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. Natasha has spent time during graduate school in Los Angeles where she interned and worked for Grammy-winning record producer Larry Klein (2016-2018). She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Master in Entertainment Industry Management (2018).

Volt Jingjit

Violinist, Educator, Composer & Producer

Born on November 1, 1991, Volt Witchuporn Jingjit began to play the violin at age 5 and performed in public a few years later. Volt is a Thai violin virtuoso who graduated from Thailand’s prestigious Silpakorn University with a jazz violin degree. In 2018, Volt graduated from Berklee College of Music.

Volt has performed in Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, the Netherlands, France, and United States, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Jacob Collier, David Fuze Fiuzynski, Dennis Montgomery III, Paul Rishell & Annie Raines. He performed at Newport Folk Festival 2017 with Suzanne Vega and Darol Anger. He has also taught a workshop, “Transitioning from Classical to Contemporary String instrumentalist”.

In 2017, he joined Berklee Global Jazz Institute. He learned from such legends as Danilo Perez, Marco Pignataro, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, Kenny Werner, Ben Street, John Patitucci, Terri Lyne Carrington, Adam Cruz, Alan Pasqua, Lefteris Kordis, and Anat Cohen. 

He is passionate about improvisation and education, and can’t wait to share his experiences and insights with all festival artists!
